Join the AMC's Young Members for an exploration of one of Philadelphia's hidden natural gems - the beautiful Wissahickon Valley Park. The Wissahickon is part of the Fairmount Park system, which is one of the largest urban parks in the world. We will meet at the Chestnut Hill SEPTA station for a 5 mile hike through some of the Wissahickon's beautiful stream-lined valleys, wooded hills and grassy meadows. We will convene for brunch at Iron Hill Brewery in Chestnut Hill afterwards to discuss some of the important work the AMC is doing in the Philadelphia area to further our mission of promoting education, recreation and conservation, as well well as how Young Philadelphians can engage with the outdoors.
The SEPTA station is accessible via the Chestnut Hill West line.
