Event Description

This interactive “town hall” will introduce young, civically-engaged participants to ways in which Philadelphia is creating globally-minded citizens, while addressing the increasing role that the world at large has on Philly's future development. For the city to thrive on an international level, future Philadelphians of all ages will need to learn more, read more and discuss more about the world and use that experience in the future development of Philadelphia.

Participants will hear first from 4-person panel discussion on how Philadelphia is creating global citizens through international affairs education at the primary and secondary education levels and through public dialogue about matters of national and international significance.

Following the panel, teams of participants can prove their knowledge by competing in a few fun rounds of geopolitical trivia while contributing their own ideas about how the city can encourage global citizenship in Philadelphians of all ages.
