Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® 2015

Join Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault as we host our 2nd Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® event!

Put on those heels, raise awareness, and support the millions of women who are subjected to horrific acts of sexual violence every year. Help raise funds for Northwest CASA which provides support, hope, and healing to those who have been affected by sexual assault or abuse.

Who: Men, Women, & Children! This walk is designed for men to literally “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®”, but women and children are welcome to participate in their regular shoes. Heels are not necessary for anyone to participate but highly encouraged for men.

When: Sunday, October 4th, 2015 (Rain or Shine)

Check in: 10am

Walk: 11am

Why: Because 1 in 4 girls under the age of 18 will be sexually abused….Because every 2 minutes someone in America is sexually assaulted…Because every year there are approximately 237,868 victims of sexual assault….Because you have a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, or friend that has been or knows someone who has been sexually assaulted or abused.

Additional Info:

•The walk is only 1 mile. You can do it!

•Can’t walk? That’s ok! Donations & volunteers are needed and appreciated.

•High heels will be provided to men for use during the walk.

•Prizes will be given to the person/team that raises the most money and for the most enthusiastic walker!
