Join the Todd Price Taste Club as we welcome home Gabrielle Restaurant with a Cajun family dining experience! 

For a dozen years, Gabrielle's roast duck, its smoky gumbo and the oysters Gabi with artichokes and pancetta were nothing but memories. The restaurant closed after Hurricane Katrina. After a few years, most of us thought it was gone for good. But chef Greg Sonnier never gave up on his restaurant. And in October, he and his family re-opened Gabrielle at a new location on Orleans Avenue.

Sonnier calls his food Cajun, and his family has roots in Cajun Country. But its a style where deep, layered flavors and country ingredients -- like rabbit, boudin and tasso -- get a city polish. He developed his approach working first for the legendary chef Paul Prudhomme at K-Paul's and then for six years as the initial sous chef at Brigtsen's. Sonnier will create a 4-course Cajun dinner for the next Todd Price Taste Club, as we celebrate the long-awaited return of Gabrielle.

BBQ Shrimp Toast and a JeniSu (Champagne cocktail with sugar, mint, lime, The Botanist gin - named for the Sonnier familys first sailboat, which was named after Chef Gregs mother and sister)

1st Course:

Oyster Gabie; Artichokes, Pancetta, Garlic, Scallions, Lemon and Parmesan Reggiano-Bread Crumb Gratin

2nd Course:    

Mixed Sausages (Andouille, Rabbit and Venison) with Honey Lavender Tasso Mustard Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Smothered Greens

3rd Course:     

Pan Roasted Stuffed Quail, Medley of Dirty Grains and Rusty Sauce Piquant (made with French Market Coffee)
